ID cards are essential equipment at formal events — training sessions, seminars, conferences and corporate visits. The lanyard holding the card is the part everybody actually sees, and it is a far larger branded surface than the card itself.
Why lanyards are worth doing properly
A lanyard is worn for the whole duration of an event, at chest height, facing outwards. Few promotional surfaces get that much continuous, deliberate visibility. And unlike the card, a good lanyard keeps being used afterwards for office passes and keys.
Lanyard materials
Polyester
The standard choice. Takes sublimation printing well and holds colour without fading.
Tissue
A softer, flatter weave with a smooth surface — the most economical option for large events.
Satin
A glossier finish that reads as more premium, well suited to conferences and formal occasions.
Nylon
Stronger and more durable, appropriate for lanyards intended for long-term daily office use.
Printing and finishing
Full-colour sublimation printing lets your logo, event name, dates and sponsor marks all run the length of the strap on both sides. Finishing options include metal hooks, plastic clips, safety breakaway buckles, adjustable sliders and detachable card connectors.
