A cast medal is a symbol of recognition, given for achievement and success across sport, education and professional life. Casting — rather than stamping or printing — is what allows genuine three-dimensional relief, weight in the hand and detail that survives decades.
Custom cast medals at Owl Motekar
1. Zinc alloy and pewter
Both metals cast cleanly and take plating well. Zinc alloy is harder and better for detailed relief; pewter is softer and gives a heavier, more traditional feel.
2. Personal, elegant custom design
Every medal is cast from a mould made for your design. Emblems, lettering and event details are part of the metal, not applied to it.
3. A careful casting process
Moulds are checked before the run so that relief depth and edge definition come out consistent across every piece.
4. Exclusive colour finishing
Enamel colour is filled by hand into the recessed areas, giving a durable finish that will not scratch off the raised surfaces.
5. Professional service and delivery
Medals are individually packed and shipped anywhere in Indonesia, usually with the lanyards attached and ready to hand out.
How cast medals are made
Quality raw material
The alloy is selected for the level of detail your design needs and the finish you have chosen.
Careful design work
Artwork is adapted for casting — relief depth, undercuts and minimum line width all have to work in metal, not just on screen.
Casting
Molten alloy is cast into the mould and allowed to cool before the pieces are separated and trimmed.
Additional processing
Edges are cleaned up and surfaces polished before plating.
Finishing: enamel and paint
Colour is applied by hand and cured, then the raised metal is polished back to a bright finish.
Lanyards
Medals are supplied with ribbon or full-print lanyards, which can carry your event name and sponsor logos.
Packing and presentation
Individual pouches or presentation boxes are available where the medal is being formally awarded.
Gold, silver and bronze with full-print lanyards
1. Gold: the top placing
Gold plating over cast alloy, finished to a bright polish.
2. Silver: understated and clean
Silver plating suits both sporting second place and formal corporate recognition.
3. Bronze: solid and traditional
An antique bronze finish that shows relief detail particularly well.
4. Full-print lanyards
Sublimation-printed ribbons carrying your event name, dates and sponsor logos in full colour.
5. Medal and ribbon together
Matching the ribbon colours to the medal finish is what makes a set look designed rather than assembled.
Why medals still matter
1. Sporting championships
The standard way of recognising dedication and result, and the reason most of our medal orders exist.
2. Graduations
A physical marker of completion that photographs well and gets kept.
3. Encouraging competition
A tangible prize raises participation in a way a certificate does not.
4. Building identity and belonging
A medal carrying an organisation's emblem ties the recipient to it.
5. Tradition and continuity
Annual events build recognition when the medal design carries forward year to year.
Send us your emblem, the quantity and your event date, and we will come back with a mockup and pricing.
