In manufacturing and design, precision is what separates a good product from an adequate one. The CNC router has become one of the main tools for achieving it, cutting sheet materials to a programmed path with a repeatability no hand-guided tool can match.
Custom CNC router cutting at Owl Motekar
We run CNC routing alongside our laser and printing services, which means a project needing several processes can be handled by one workshop rather than coordinated across three.
Why work with us
High precision
Cutting follows the file exactly, so parts designed to slot together actually do.
Material flexibility
The router handles composite panels, engineered board and plastics that a laser cannot cut cleanly.
Custom design work
Send a drawing or a concept; we will convert it into a cutting file and confirm it with you first.
Efficient production
Once a file is set, repeat runs need no re-setup, which keeps unit cost down at volume.
Materials we process
- ACP (aluminium composite panel)
- Plywood
- MDF (medium-density fibreboard)
- HMR (high moisture resistance board)
- PVC
- Acrylic
What the service is used for
- Signage and advertising panels
- Custom furniture
- Interior decoration
- Prototypes and component manufacturing
Our commitment
We will tell you before quoting if a material or thickness is a poor fit for the design, rather than cutting it and leaving you to discover the problem.
How to order
1. Design and material consultation
We agree the material, thickness and cutting path together.
2. Quotation
Pricing is built from three things:
- Cutting cost based on the area to be cut.
- The material type and thickness used.
- A production time estimate matched to the project.
3. Order confirmation
Before production we confirm:
- The quantity you need.
- Final specifications, so every detail is agreed.
- The expected production and delivery schedule.
4. Payment
- A deposit to start production.
- Final settlement before dispatch.
5. Production
Cutting runs in our workshop to the confirmed file.
6. Delivery
Finished parts are packed and shipped, or held for collection.
7. After-sales support

Materials in detail
1. ACP (aluminium composite panel)
Weather and corrosion resistant, with a smooth surface that finishes neatly. Cuts and folds easily on a router. Used for building facades, wall panels, signage and decorative architectural partitions.
2. Plywood
Strong under load and more moisture-tolerant than solid board. Routes cleanly for furniture such as tables, chairs and shelving, as well as wall panels and interior decor.
3. MDF
A smooth surface that takes paint and finishing well, with no grain to work around. Common in door panels, partitions, shelving, cabinets and decorative accessories such as frames.
4. HMR
Moisture-resistant board with strength and density close to MDF. The right choice for kitchen, bathroom and laundry cabinetry, and for partitions in humid areas.
5. PVC
Waterproof and chemically resistant, light and easy to shape. Used for wall and ceiling panels, signage, decorative accessories and industrial components.
6. Acrylic
Highly transparent with a glass-like appearance, and finishes to a very clean edge. Used for dimensional letters and signage logos, product displays and decorative pieces such as lighting panels.
Send us your file and material, and we will confirm feasibility and pricing.
